d&d 5e Tortle’s live a very simple life as peaceful farmers on the Savage Coast of Mystara. It is a region which is expanded as the mini-setting of Red Steel. By nature, they are inoffensive. But they will fight to defend their homes and naturally, they are very good at tanking. They have never managed to get any semi-official update to later editions like their fellow Red-Steel introduces the Aranea.
Most Mustilus races stay within tribes of their own kind or become hermits since their strong 'musty' scent, a sensitive subject, is seen as offensive by humanoid and beast races alike. Only otters are immune to this sentiment since their aquatic lifestyle constantly washes the scent away. Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) Fifth Edition (5e) Race - Aarakocra - Sequestered in high mountains atop tall trees, the aarakocra, sometimes called birdfolk.
Most of the Tortles consider a simple life and others might call it a life of adventure. Most of them are born near sandy coastlines and as soon as they are able to walk, they become nomad survivalists eager to explore the wilderness.

Society of D&D Tortle
Tortles tend to get along well with the other races that have similar personalities and habits as tortles are reclusive and peaceful. They walk and spoke in a lower and milder fashion than the other dwellers of the material plane. They are ignorant of technology and live in hunter style tribes. Normally tortles live in straw huts and mud.
Tortles live under the servitude of the chief of the Tribe who rules like a king. Tortles are very friendly to most of the other races especially; they are friendlier toward peaceful Lizardfolk. There are only a few races that are able to look past the reptilian aspects of both their species and because of this, they get along. Tortles generally live in harmony with nature, other than using the slash and burn farming method.
For the first two weeks of life, tortles crawls and after that, they learn to walk on two legs. They are expected to fend for themselves. They mature at the age of forty and live for about 365 years.Tortles don’t mate until they approach the final years of their lives. After mating, they die within a year. All the females who are ready to produce eggs are gathered in a specially prepared compound. Males guard that compound against all attacks. The eggs of the tortles are considered as delicacies, so the locations of the egg-laying ground are always defended. Each female lays 4-24 eggs. These eggs hatch about 6 months later. This is the reason that tribes are often massive, spanning miles upon miles of land. Practicing a modest lifestyle for totsals is not uncommon. This is because the tortels consider their homes to be the shells behind them.
Tortles who are clerics, monks or paladins worship one of four deities. This is the belief of the tortles that these four gods work together in harmony and keep the balance of nature intact and sharing the prosperity of those who worship them.

From D&D Wiki
Dnd 5e Races List (5th Edition) Dungeons and Dragons are one of the most excellent online games that have become even much better with the addition of new features in its 5th edition. Having distinguishing and fantastic powers and characteristics, all of the characters here are quite powerful and unique from each other in different aspects. Is there currently any race in source materials or UA for a canine humanoid other than Gnolls? Like a Wolf or dog version of a Tabaxi. I'd rather use something with a bit more grounding in the world lore of Forgotten Realms than resorting to a Homebrew right out of the gate.
- 6Canus Traits
Canus
Usually known as 'Man's best friend'. Most Canus are kept as slaves, pets, or mercenaries for most of their life, but some find freedom from their masters through escaping, good behavior, or kindness. Canus are widely considered inhumane, and therefore don't have human rights, though this may be untrue for certain regions. In regions where they aren't considered human, they are considered 'attack dogs', 'dog maids', or sometimes even simple 'house pets'.
Physical Description
Canus are humanoids with certain dog-like features. This includes almost always ears and a tail, and rarely furred forearms and hands. The specifics of these traits change with sub-race, or in the harsher side of their heritage, 'breeds'. Hellhounds have darker furs, and fire seems to burn in their eyes. Servants have white fur nearly all the time, but sometimes a mutation will cause them to have grey hair, their eyes look quite normal. Domestics have brown fur, and usually, have a slightly blank look in their eyes.
History
The Canus are a result of ancestors with lycanthropy giving birth to children with regular humans. Since lycanthropes are considered monsters, their children were considered freaks of nature, a mixture of monster and human that shouldn't exist. That is until one was allowed to grow up. This singular creature was docile and friendly, had little intelligence and seemed like a domestic wolf. That is when they became simple pets. However, once they started to become more and more human-like, it has become a question of if they can be given human rights.
Society
There is not much to Canus society, they were treated like pets originally, so most of their society is basically pet society.
Canus Names
Canus names are given by masters and are often very demeaning.
